World Earth Day Digital Detox Experience — Put Down Your Phone, Pick Up a Sapling
On 22 April, we’re celebrating World Earth Day the way it was always meant to be celebrated — by actually going outside. Our Digital Detox Experience is a purpose-driven, screen-free day that takes school groups and corporate teams through a series of hands-on sustainability activities rooted in genuine ecological learning.
It’s not a lecture. It’s not a slideshow. It’s a day where you get your hands in the soil, walk through nature with a guide who can name every bird you hear, and leave feeling like you’ve actually done something good — for yourself and for the planet.
What Participants Will Experience
The day kicks off with a tree plantation drive — each participant plants a sapling and learns about its species, its role in the local ecosystem, and what it takes to grow. It’s one of those simple acts that stays with you.
From there, the group moves into a gardening workshop, followed by a guided nature walk focused on local biodiversity and ecological interdependence. An ecological documentary screening in the afternoon deepens the learning with visual storytelling, and a waste management awareness session wraps the day with practical takeaways on reducing one’s environmental footprint.
A pottery workshop offers a tactile, creative break — participants create something with clay, a grounding contrast to the digital world they’ve stepped away from for the day.
Ideal for Schools and Corporate Teams
For school groups, this is an experiential learning day that complements environmental science curricula while making the subject genuinely exciting. For corporate teams, it’s a meaningful team-building experience that goes beyond trust falls and strategy sessions — this is about shared values and shared action.
Both groups leave with a deepened awareness of sustainability and, frankly, a good story to tell.
Reserve Your Group’s Spot
Group bookings are open now. Reach out to us to customise the programme to your group’s size and learning objectives.
The Earth Day Digital Detox Experience is designed to work for a range of age groups. Activities like tree plantation, gardening, and pottery are engaging for children as young as 8, while the documentary screening and ecological discussions are better suited to secondary school students and above. For mixed-age corporate groups, the entire programme works seamlessly.
Absolutely. We work with corporate organisers ahead of the visit to understand their team’s objectives — whether that’s sustainability awareness, cross-team bonding, or simply a refreshing break from the office. The core programme remains the same, but we can adjust the emphasis and add facilitated debrief sessions if needed.
